Super Bowl XII was held on January 15, 1978, between the Dallas Cowboys and the Denver Broncos at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was an exciting game that resulted in a victory for the Dallas Cowboys, with a final score of 27-10.

The Cowboys' dominant defense played a crucial role in their win, forcing a total of eight turnovers. Broncos QB threw four INTs in the game. The game's MVP was awarded to Harvey Martin and Randy White, both on the defense for the Cowboys. It has been the only time multiple players were awarded the honor in the same Super Bowl.

The first quarter saw the Cowboys take the lead with a touchdown run from running back Tony Dorsett. They were up 10-0 after one after an Efren Herrera FG later in the quarter. Another field goal in the second quarter had the Cowboys up 13-0 at the half.

In the second half, the Broncos finally got on the board after kicker Jim Turner kicked a 47-yard field goal, but the Cowboys responded with a touchdown pass from QB Roger Staubach to Butch Johnson. The Broncos managed to score their only touchdown of the game in the third quarter when Rob Lytle ran it in from one yard out.

The Cowboys sealed their victory in the fourth quarter with another touchdown pass from Staubach, a 29-yard strike to wide receiver Golden Richards. The game ended with a 27-10 score in favor of the Dallas Cowboys, earning them their second Super Bowl championship of the decade.
