Super Bowl MVP: Lynn Swann

Super Bowl X took place on January 18, 1976, between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Dallas Cowboys. It was held at the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida. The Steelers emerged victorious, winning the game with a score of 21-17.

Super Bowl X is notable for several reasons. It was the first time in Super Bowl history that both teams had previously won a Super Bowl. The game featured several standout performances, including Lynn Swann's acrobatic catches for the Steelers, which earned him the Super Bowl MVP (Most Valuable Player) award.

The scoring started by the Cowboys when QB Roger Staubach hit WR Drew Pearson for a TD score. However, the Steelers responded with a touchdown pass from Terry Bradshaw to Randy Grossman. The Cowboys tacked on a field goal later in the second, giving them a 10-7 lead at halftime.

In the second half, all three phases of the Steelers, offense, defense and special teams, stepped up. First the special teams blocked a punt for a safety. Then Roy Gerela kicked two field goals to push the Steelers' lead to 15-10. The offense got going once again as Terry Bradshaw threw another touchdown pass, this time a 64-yard strike to Lynn Swann, extending Pittsburgh's lead to 21-10. Swann finished with 4 receptions for 161 yards and a score. And the defense, the famed "Steel Curtain", caused havoc all game setting a then Super Bowl record with 7 sacks.

The Cowboys managed to score a late touchdown, and had a chance to take the lead on the last play of the game. However, Staubach's pass was intercepted in the end zone, as the Steelers' defense secured the Super Bowl win. It was the third time in Super Bowl history that a team repeated as champions (Green Bay Packers, Miami Dolphins).
