Super Bowl XV, held on January 25, 1981, featured the Oakland Raiders and the Philadelphia Eagles. The game took place at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Raiders emerged victorious with a final score of 27-10, securing their second Super Bowl championship.

The Raiders' quarterback, Jim Plunkett, played a crucial role in leading his team to victory. Plunkett completed 13 of 21 passes for 261 yards and three touchdowns, earning him the game's MVP Award. He connected with his wide receiver, Cliff Branch, for a 2-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter, putting the Raiders on the scoreboard. Plunkett threw his second TD of the first quarter to Kenny King that went for 80 yards. His third TD strike of the game was again to Branch for 29 yards in the third.

 

 

The Eagles' quarterback, Ron Jaworski, faced a tough Raiders defense and struggled to find success. He completed 18 of 38 passes for 291 yards, with one touchdown and three interceptions. The Eagles' lone touchdown came in the fourth quarter when Jaworski connected with Keith Krepfle for a 8-yard score.

The Raiders' defense was dominant throughout the game, forcing four turnovers and allowing only 10 points. The victory in Super Bowl XV gave the franchise their second championship win in 3 tries.
