LaDainian Tramayne Tomlinson, commonly known as LT, was born on June 23, 1979 in Rosebud, TX. He is the son of Loreane Chappelle and Oliver Tomlinson. LaDainian’s parents parted ways when he was young, and he and his siblings were raised by their mother. Although times were hard, it didn’t affect the young LaDainian’s passion for football. He started to play the game of football when he was nine years old. One thing he couldn’t part with was his football. From his youth days until his time in college, LaDainian would go to sleep with the football by his side.
Tomlinson attended University High School. He didn’t start to make noise on the football field until his senior year when he won MVP and Player of the Year honors. Although he didn’t have a great resume for most major college programs, he made a good impression on TCU and he accepted their scholarship offer.
