John Stockton 1997 Western Conference Finals Clinching Buzzer Beater
Stockton’s career is one of consistency. Rarely was there a moment in his career where he had to deliver late. However, the one time he was thrusted into that position, he came through. In Game 6 against the Houston Rockets in the 1997 Western Conference finals, the Jazz were tied with the Rockets on the road at 100-100. With less than three seconds left in the game Stockton, who had scored 12 points in the final quarter to pull the Jazz even, received the inbounds pass and took a long three point shot at the top of the key. The dagger clinched the Western Conference title and sent the Jazz to their first ever NBA Finals with a 103-100 win.
